New York is building the workforce of tomorrow with superior education for young students in math, science and technology. A nanovision program is targeted at 3rd – 8th grade and includes a multi-media series to be distributed to public schools through the Public Broadcasting System. A technology high school is being created that will partner with industry and be focused on technological innovation, community growth and economic development initiatives. In addition, High Tech U, a partnership with SEMI, is held each year where high school students learn about the making of a computer chip and spend time working in a cleanroom.
